Kanye West Tops Forbes As the ‘Highest Paid Artist’ Of 2019

By kmvq on September 20, 2019

Looks like JAY-Z didn’t do a good job “watching the throne” this year against rival rapper Kanye West. Forbes is out with its rankings of the highest-paid hip-hop artists in the world for 2019–and for the first time, ‘Ye has topped Hova to take the #1 spot. While JAY-Z was #1 and Kanye a paltry #10 on last year’s list, it seems West’s Yeezy collaboration with Adidas–which is expected to rake in $1.5 billion in 2019–propelled him to the top of this year’s rankings, leaving JAY-Z at #2, where he barely brought in half of what Kanye banked within the past year. Here are the top 10 for 2019 (check the link for more):

  1. Kanye West, $150 million
  2. JAY-Z, $81 million
  3. Drake, $75 million
  4. Diddy, $70 million
  5. Travis Scott, $58 million
  6. Eminem, $50 million
  7. DJ Khaled, $40 million
  8. Kendrick Lamar, $38.5 million
  9. Migos, $36 million
  10. Childish Gambino, $35 million
