Food For Days

Homeless people have been eating well since the Super Bowl ten days ago.  A charity in South Florida was able to save and secure the 30,000 pounds of leftover Super Bowl food and it’s now being used to feed the needy.  The rescued food included uneaten chicken wings, ribs, tenderloins and charcuteries from concession stands and VIP booths.   Pallets and pallets of the food have been deliver to shelters throughout Miami and will feed more than 20,000 people.

An amazing donation of food rescued from the Super Bowl thanks to the always wonderful Food Rescue US! Thank you for helping us feed the close to 500 women and children we shelter daily!
