The 49ers looked to be firmly in control of Super Bowl 54 up 20 – 10 and dominating for most of the game, until a 3rd and 15, 40-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes that set up the first of three straight touchdowns that left the 49ers stunned.

The 49ers are now 5 – 2 all time in Super Bowls and are 0 – 2 in their last appearances….Mahomes was named MVP of the game.   And you never wanna be that team that blames the refs but since SF Gate had it as their top headline, it definitely wasn’t lost on me that Jimmy Garrapolo was hit in the head twice on third down plays in the second half that the refs didn’t call and the announcers didn’t even mention.  Also the George Kittle offensive pass interference at the end of the first half was very questionable…But alas, it is what it is….The 2020 NFL season kicks off Thursday, Sept 10.

It’s now going to be a long cold winter without sports…with the Warriors 11-39 and NBA ratings WAY down, baseball opening day not until early April and the Giants not expected to be good….meh…

And the President showed he isn’t smarter than a 5th grader last night, texting congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs and everyone in the great state of Kansas, where they aren’t headquartered and don’t play…The later deleted it and congratulated the great state of Missouri.
