20+ Bay Area Target Stores To Temporarily Shut Down

Target announced earlier today that it is temporally closing more than 20 locations here in the Bay Area. Over 100+ locations across the U.S will be closed as well

The following statement was posted in a press release listed on Target’s corporate site,

“We are heartbroken by the death of George Floyd and the pain it is causing communities across the country. At this time, we have made the decision to close a number of our stores. We anticipate most stores will be closed temporarily.”

During the temporary closure Target said that team members impacted will be paid for up to 14 days of scheduled hours during store closures, including COVID-19 premium pay.
