MIAMI, FL – OCTOBER 11: Moviegoers watch “Back to the Future” from the comfort of the vehicles at The Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive-In on October 11, 2013 in Miami, Florida. Many traditional drive-in theaters around the United States have closed but the owner of The Blue Starlite held a grand opening for his small outdoor facility, which can accommodate 20 to 24 cars and has seats near the front of the viewing area, with hopes it will become popular in the urban core of Miami. Movie theaters have been temporarily closed for a few months now, and recently there two drive-in theaters in the Bay Area have reopened. There’s the West Wind Solano Drive-In in Concord and the West Wind Capitol Drive-In located in San Jose.

As of last week the Alameda County Fair grounds have decided to have their own drive-in theater!

From June 5th through July 25th on Fridays and Saturdays, movies will be played as apart of their pop-up drive-in theater! This week on June 12th they’re screening Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, and The Goonies on June 13th.

This week is already sold out, but you can purchase tickets for next weekends movies soon. Tickets are $25 per car and are $30 if you purchase them on-site. Each ticket comes with an admission ticket for the Alameda County Fair for 2021.

On June 19th they’re playing Jurassic Park and Grease on June 20th! Sign up for their e-news letter here to know when they go on sale and get info on more of their upcoming events.
