Taylor Swift Had A Huge Night at the MTV VMA’s
By on August 27, 2019

Every year there are so many artists packed into one super award show….. the MTV VMA’s. It’s the one award show that has all the biggest names in music and the best performances that you wait tonight was no exception! Taylor kicked off MTV’s biggest night in music by performing her hit ‘You Need To Calm Down.’ If that wasn’t enough…. she went right into ‘Lover’ from her album that just came out a few days ago by the same name. Her performance was bright & colorful. My favorite part was seeing her pick up a guitar during ‘Lover’ since it reminded me of the early Taylor days. It was great seeing some familiar faces from the ‘You Need To Calm Down’ video too- especially Todrick Hall.
Taylor also was nominated for 12 MTV VMAs! She walked away with one of the biggest awards of the night- Video of the Year! That’s when she used the stage to thank her fans for supporting her and most of all for signing the Equality Act Petition that pops up at the end of the ‘YNTCD’ video. There have been over 500,000 signatures, which is 5 times the amount needed for the White House to respond.
During her speech she said, “In this video several points were made, so you voting for this video means that you want a world, where we’re all treated equally under the law.”
