Doesn’t Have To Be AN N95 Mask But You Should Still Cover Up When Out

By St. John on March 31, 2020

THIS DOES NOT MEAN TO GO AND BUY A WHOLE BUNCH OF N95 MASKS, AS THERE IS STILL A SHORTAGE OF MASKS IN HOSPITALS.

As we get to know more and more about what COVID-19 is people are questioning if not wearing a mask is actually the right step to take when trying to protect yourself. We have all heard about keeping 6ft apart, washing our hands regularly, wearing gloves and keeping our every day items clean. Yes, these are all still very important and should be taken seriously… but wearing a mask or even a scarf may also Β make a difference.

Evidence is showing that even if you are not sick, having something cover your face when you are out does decrease your chance of being exposed to the virus. Having something cover your face creates a block between your hands and touching your mouth or nose. In a new report released from theΒ CDCΒ  they reported that many residents that tested positive for COVID-19 showed no symptoms at all. So a way to help stay safe if you are not aware you may be carrying the virus is by covering your mouth.
Once again, it does NOT have to be an N95 mask it can be a scarf, surgical mask or some have even started using their crafty side to create their own covers!!!
