The Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk San Francisco
Get Registered For The Overnight Walk San Francisco To Help Prevent Suicide Prevention
June 8 @ 7:00 pm - June 9 @ 6:00 am
The Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk San Francisco is happening on June 8 -9, 2019. This is the fourth year The Overnight will be hosted in San Francisco.
The route is approximately 16-18 miles, starts and ends at the same place and goes from sunset to sunrise.
When you register, you get a personal fundraising page and a Walker Coach who is there to help you meet your fundraising minimum and offer training tips.
Everyone walks at their own pace, and our Crew Team is always there to support the Walkers. The route is clearly marked with a team of Sweep Vans, Motorcycle Escorts, and bicyclists on Trail Sweep to patrol the route and ensure the safety of all Walkers. Medical and Support Crew are also on hand throughout the night.
Lining the end of the route are thousands of luminaria – each one representing a life touched by suicide. They are a truly moving sight, and a reminder of the importance of our mission. The Closing Ceremony is the culmination of your journey. As the sun rises that morning and you stand among a crowd of fellow Walkers—each with their own journey that led them to this moment—you will feel a sense of accomplishment. You will have honored those who lost their battle with mental illness, and you will have done your part to help others find the help they need. It’s a feeling that will stay with you forever.
Registration is open now. Start your Overnight journey today.
