This 4th of July feels different & is going to look different than any other we’ve experienced! We’re still in a worldwide pandemic so the way you celebrated 4th of July last year, might not be what you’re doing today.

Beaches are closed, the CDC experts are saying that it’s best for you to stay home! Due to that, many Bay Area cities have cancelled their usual parades, fireworks shows and festivals in hopes of keeping everyone safe! Some of these celebrations have gone on for decades and it’s the first time in their history that they’re being cancelled!

Luckily, some cities have gotten creative on still having their residents enjoy their 4th of July in a super safe place…… HOME! There are virtual parades, virtual porch decorating contests and even virtual firework shows so you don’t feel like you’re missing out!

Here’s a list of some of the cities having virtual events!

Fremont 4th of July Parade

Milpitas Virtual Fireworks

Orinda Community Parade & Festival

Pleasant Hill 4th of July Celebration

Foster City Fourth of July Celebration

Redwood City Chalk Full of Fun Festival

Morgan Hill Freedom Fest & Fireworks

Have a safe 4th of July and don’t forget to wear your face covering if you have to be out today!
