John Krasinski Hosts Virtual Senior Prom With Jonas Brothers & Billie Eilish! You Can Be At The Next One!

There’s a 4 letter word that can instantly make my daughter Malia sad………
That word is P-R-O-M!!!!!
Like many other parents around the Bay Area and beyond, I have a child at home that’s a high school Senior. My daughter Malia has been so sad that she’s losing out on the rest of her Senior year. Just as her friends and fellow Class of 2020 high school students, Malia was looking forward to finishing off her final Track & Field season (she was on the team all 4 years). She couldn’t wait for her Cheer Banquet, Senior/ Honors night, Grad Night at Disneyland, the always fun Powder Puff game, Senior Skits, her final Spirit Week, saying goodbye to her friends & teachers and so much more. The two that hurt the most….. having Graduation & Prom on hold.
For my daughter’s school, they haven’t made plans just yet on how to go forward with graduation. Everything is up in the air. I did get an email last night saying that kids will be able to drive through and pick up their caps & gown during the first week in May and that more details were coming. But what can be done with Prom? Well for now, at my daughter’s school it has been cancelled. It was supposed to be on May 16th in San Jose, but now school is looking for alternatives to give kids.
That’s where actor John Krasinski comes in with his @SomeGoodNews on Twitter to save the day…. or should I say PROM NIGHT!!!
Did you hear what he did last night? He hosted a Virtual Prom with performances by Billie Eilish and the Jonas Brothers on YouTube Live! Chance the Rapper even made an appearance with some other famous faces. There are more Virtual Proms that he has scheduled. Looks like the Bay Area and West Coast Prom will be on May 2nd at 7p. You’ll have to register, then get your friends to register too. You’ll be able to listen to DJ’s play music for 2 hours and get to interact with others at Prom with you virtually. Hmmm…. I wonder who will be the musical acts for the West Coast? Oh yeah…… and don’t forget to get the glam going too….. after all, you gotta be Prom ready! There’s even an after-party with more DJ’s in the mix. How clever is that!? Last night’s event was a hit just looking at Twitter! Check out
