Kanye Will Go Virtual For His Sunday Service on Easter
By on April 11, 2020
This Easter feels so very different than any other we’ve had due to the Coronavirus pandemic effecting the world. I remember last Easter fell on Coachella weekend and Kanye West held his Sunday Service at the festival that morning! I was on the air that morning and I logged on to the live-stream so that I could watch it. It was so much fun and such an amazing production all around. I was hoping that Kanye was going to do that again!
Earlier this week, it was said that Kanye was joining forces with Joel Osteen to put together a similar show for this Easter. Yesterday, word got out that Kanye decided to cancel that over the Coronavirus concerns. I was actually trying to figure out how they were going to put the whole things together seeing that we ALL have to practice social distancing. I thought maybe the many Choir members and band would be on a Zoom and performing virtually. But, if you’ve ever seen Kanye’s Sunday Services, you know that will NOT work!
As of today, the plan is to have Kanye still share his Sunday Service with the world virtually. It’ll be featuring exclusive pre-recorded pieces of Kanye and his amazing Sunday Service Choir. Kanye is bringing it this time to his Pastor’s church in Miami called VOUS Church.
The online service starts at 8a and will be rebroadcast through the day. At 11a, they will have a spanish translation available on YouTube! Are you going to watch tomorrow?
