Kobe Bryant Will Be Inducted Into The 2020 Basketball Hall of Fame
By on April 4, 2020
With the world on hold dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic, looks like we have some sports news!
Every year during the Final Four weekend (which was cancelled this year), we find out who the next class of Hall of Famers will be. This morning the Class of 2020 inductees were announced!
At the top of the list for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame was Kobe Bryant along with Tim Duncan & Kevin Garnett! The 3 of them combined, account for 11 championship titles and 4 MVP awards between them.
ESPN also interviewed Kobe’s wife Vanessa today about the news. She said, “It’s an incredible accomplishment and honor, and we’re extremely proud of him. Obviously we wish that he was here with us to celebrate, but it’s definitely the peak of his NBA career and every accomplishment he had as an athlete was a stepping stone to be here. So we’re incredibly proud of him.”

It’s great to know that Kobe will be part of the class of 2020 inductees, but it makes me sad to know that he would’ve had one amazing thank you speech when it came down to the ceremony. The ceremony is still scheduled for August 29th in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Congrats to all the Hall of Fame inductees:
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Garnett
Tim Duncan
Tamika Catchings
Coach Kim Mulkey
Coach Barbara Stevens
Coach Eddie Sutton
Coach Rudy Tomjanovich
FIBA executive Patrick Baumann
