We’ve all been at home for months now. I can truly say, I have missed going to the mall. Before the shelter in place, I was all about malls and going to stores in person and didn’t do much online shopping. Ok…. maybe just the Disney stuff I buy at Box Lunch, Hot Topic or ShopDisney.com! Now that we’ve been home, I’ve gotten a little more savy with online shopping, but I still miss the mall! Especially Valley Fair!
Now I can’t wait for this Monday because that’s when Westfield’s Valley Fair Mall is reopening in San Jose!! Store are getting ready for hopefully lots of shoppers to return. Of course safety is the main priority as the mall reopens.
At the mall you can expect to see hand sanitizing stations and lots of signs to remind you of new guidelines about face coverings, social distance and more. ALL stores are going to be requiring you to wear a face covering at all times when you go in. There will also be lots of extra cleaning in the high traffic areas like restrooms, play areas, water fountains and the dining areas. There will also be extra hand washing stations set up as well throughout the mall.
The nice thing is that you can request a face covering if you forgot to bring yours. They will have people monitoring that everyone is wearing them, so it’s great to know they want to help! You can even use their “Answers On The Spot” program if you have a question and they can text you back.
On Monday, the mall will have special hours 11am- 7pm to ease into the reopening. Then after Monday, hours will be Monday-Saturday from 12p- 7pm. On Sunday the mall hours are 12p- 6p.
Check out all the great things they are doing here including more details on the reopening of Valley Fair this Monday! Are you ready to go back to the mall? Or do you think you’ll wait a little bit longer before you’re out in public settings still?
