ST. JOHN’S THING TO KNOW: THE UBER EXPERIENCE IS CHANGING STARTING MONDAY!

As we enter stage 2 of opening up our cities it is no surprise that many companies and businesses are adapting to wearing a face mask .

Starting Monday May 18th, Uber drivers will need to take selfies using the App to verify that they are wearing a face covering before they can pick up any passengers. The same will be for the rider, but no selfie will be required. It is up to the driver and rider to ensure they are doing everything they can to stay safe.

Along with wearing face masks you will notice a few other things will be different.  Passengers will not be allowed to ride in the front seat and now only three people may be in the car (Not Including driver) instead of the four you would be able to through uber x.

Drivers are encouraged to keep the windows down to keep the airflow and will be provided with cleaning supplies to disinfect their vehicles as often as possible.

If you as the rider do not have a facemark then the drivers will be canceling your trip. The same thing goes to riders who have a driver with no mask.

Stay Safe Y’all!
