CLEANLINESS, PROTECTION AND GOOD HYGINE ARE ALL GREAT WAYS TO STOP YOU FROM GETTING THE CORONAVIRUS! BUT THERE IS MORE YOU CAN DO INVOLVING YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM……
St. John’s Thing To Know: How To Boost Your Immune System!
1. MAINTAIN A HEALTHY NUTRITION PLAN
If you are guilty of snacking and eating food that is bad for you now is the perfect time to change some of these habits. Having lots of micronutrients, essential nutrients, mineral-rich food, and protein in your daily diet will have your immune system feeling great!!
2. MAINTAIN A HEALTHY SLEEP SCHEDULE
With the shelter in place it is easy to loose track of your sleep so create a habit of falling asleep around the same time every day and waking up. 8+ hours are always recommended. Try cutting out electronics, refraining from caffeine, and not working out just before bed.
3. BE ACTIVE
Get off that couch! It is tempting to stay in bed all day doing the shelter in place and binge watch shows but don’t do it. Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. You can find a bunch of free work out videos online or just even going for a walk outside works.
4. KEEP THE STREE AWAY
Under the circumstances I know it is hard to keep the stress away but find ways to relieve stress around your home. Find something you like to do, listen to the radio, paint, write or simply just go for a walk.
5. GET YOUR VITAMIN C
Add Vitamin C supplements into your routine. Here are foods that you can eat that are rich in vitamin C
- Broccoli
- Brussels Sprouts
- Lemons
- Lychees
- American Persimmons
- Papayas
- Strawberries
- Oranges
