EVERYDAY THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE BEING LAID OFF OR NOT HAVING ANY HOURS TO WORK IS INCREASING, LEAVING MANY IN NEED OF FINANCIAL RELIEF.
There are special resources and programs that have been made available to help us during these trying times. Filing for Unemployment is the first step you want to take. From beginning to end if you have all your information together it should take no more than 30 min. It is recommended for you to have your most recent pay stub or W-2 form so you know your wages and employer information. You will need to enroll and create a profile to access the claim form.
The following steps on filing a claim online come directly from the website:
To File a Claim
- Log in to Benefit Programs Online.
- Select UI Online.
- Select File a Claim.
- Read the UI Claim Filing Instructions. Select Next to continue.
- Give your general information, last employer information, and employment history.
- Review your information on the Summary page, then select Submit.
