St. John’s Thing To Know: Taxes Deadline Has Been Extended 90 Days

AS PART OF THE CORONA VIRUS RESPONSE TO HELP OFFER RELIEF, THE TREASURY AND IRS ARE GIVING TAX PAYERS A 3 MONTH EXTENSION.
It was announced Tuesday, March 17th that Treasury and the IRS will be giving taxpayers a 3 month extension. During that three-month deferral period, taxpayers won’t be subject to interest and penalties.
The New Deadline will now be July 15.
