ST. JOHN’S THING TO KNOW: Where You Can Get Free Pet Food!
The Covid- 19 Pandemic has left many pet owners struggling to feed their pets. A few Organizations and Shelters have set up programs to offer free pet food!
Here are a few resources:
During the pandemic, the Pet Food Pantry is open to Alameda residents every Saturday morning at FAAS from 10 a.m. to noon. Families in need may pick up one month’s supply of food and supplies from their parking lot at 1590 Fortmann Drive.
AniMeals Pet Food Bank is a partnership of Contra Costa Humane Society and the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano that helps financially challenged families and individuals keep their pets in the home. You do need to fill out a quick application to receive. Click <Here> for more info.
They’re holding pet food giveaways on Fridays and Sundays at 2700 Ninth Street Berkeley (Berkeley Humane) for anyone who lives in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
They are offering a drive-through free Pet Food Pantry for dog and cat owners every Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, or until supplies last throughout Shelter in Place at 410 Hegenberger Road Oakland
Pet Pantry is available to all bonded family residents of Santa Clara county experiencing financial hardship. Pick up is every 30 days and you do need to fill out an application as well. Click <Here> for more Info.
