5 Ways to Reduce Anxiety

After being told to shelter in place many of us, including myself have begun to feel a lot of anxiety. I’m sure everyone is feeling anxious, nervous, or stressed for many different reasons and it can be hard to find a way to take your mind off things.

Here are five things I have tried and actually work!

Coloring/Drawing:

This is an activity that allows you to focus on making something look pretty and allows you to be creative. It’s so easy to get crafty and it takes you back to your elementary school days!

Workout:

It takes a lot of motivation BUT you feel so much better after your workout! It’s also important to do as we won’t be walking as much as we usually do.

Meditate:

The first time I tried meditating… it was weird haha but it’s honestly really helpful for clearing your mind! There’s plenty of videos on Youtube to guide you through your meditation.

Reorganize your Room:

It’s the perfect time to clean out your room and give it a new look! I personally feel so much better when I have a clean space. Light a candle or spray some essential oils and you will feel so much more relaxed.

Social Media Cleanse:

There’s a lot going on right now and we come across a lot of information on social media. If you can, take at least 24 hours off social media and take the time to catch up with your friends and family.
