Lizzo accused a Postmates driver of stealing her order on Twitter — and soon got served up an angry online backlash. She called out both the driver and Postmates on Twitter Monday, writing this since-deleted tweet,
Postmates later said the driver actually waited the mandatory five minutes before leaving but the company still apologized and resolved the issue. Later Lizzo did the apologizing…again on Twitter for putting the driver on blast and for putting her in danger by using her name.
I apologize for putting that girl on blast. I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could’ve put her in danger. Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door. 🥺
